Recently we went on a hike at a local state park. We saw many things and enjoyed the short break in rain. One of the many things we came across were banana slugs. They were all over the place. Trevor took an immediate liking to them. He even kissed one.....wish I got a picture of that one.

Here the 3 boys managed to climb up an uprooted tree. They climbed the roots as far as they could and then crawled through the roots that were still on the ground. Cheap entertainment!

There were lots of stumps for them to climb and check out. Many of these stumps had notches cut into them like the one below. That one was huge and Trevor managed to scale the thing and became "King of the Stump".

There he is, at the top. He did need help getting down. Jeff had to go over and coach him down before he could pull him to safety.

They are eager to go check it out again. Now that we are on Winter Break we will have to take advantage of the weather and do more outdoorsy things.
