What Prompted the Drawings?

Apparently I did.
How you ask?
By being a parent.
Don't we ALL have moments with our children?
Mine seem frequent with Trevor and it seems to happen most when he is tired.
You would think this was a clue and I would catch on right?
Not always.

So this is how it went:

He had an entire day at All Sports Camp which came early after a full week of camping and staying up late. Monday he and his friends bombard the moms into a swim date, we weren't put on the spot or anything. While it didn't happen Monday we did agree to meet Tuesday after All Sports Camp. It involved boys, lots of boys, swimming, eating, playing, and just being boys. The moms had an enjoyable afternoon/dinner while the boys did too.

Where did we go wrong?

Well it was time to go. Go home. This, according to Trevor, was not acceptable. It was already 7:30, the boys were ALL tired and it was time to go to bed so they could function at camp the next day. Trevor would NOT get out of the pool. NOT. AT. ALL. He had me, I didn't feel like going in after him. What did it is that I told him he wouldn't be able to go to his friends house to swim, play, sleep over, etc. if he didn't get out. Very reluctantly, with a lot of noise he got out of the pool. However I am now an IDIOT. His friend is behind me laughing at all the horrible things he is saying to me, so Trevor thinks he is being funny and getting away with it.

We get to the truck and he is still making LOTS of noise. He knows it bugs me when he screams for the sake of screaming. I kicked him out. He had to run about a 1/4 mile. Barefoot. Shirtless. And wet. His brothers looked on with amusement. As I drove by him he gave me his war cry scream and gave me the double bird. This from an 8 year old. What. A. Punk! Who does he think he is? Why does he think he can get away with that?

I don't have the answer.

When he got back inot the truck he learned that he would spend the rest of the week in his room. No TV, no outside time, no computer time, no nothing! That brought on another onslaught of screaming noise of how mean I am.

So his first day in his room prompted the pictures in this post.
