It's Happened......

He doesn't want kisses and hugs anymore (at least not in front of his friends).
I have been waiting for it and was hoping it would take much longer than it did for this to occur. I just wonder how long it will be before his isn't "embarrassed" to get love from his mom in public.

Letterboxing in the USA

The boys and I discovered something in the Fall through one of their friends. It's called Letterboxing. There are 2 sites I go to when we decide we need to go on an adventure. Some of the clues are fairly easy, while others are very cryptic. We did this one over the Winter Break.

After reading the clue the boys went off to see if they could find the box.

The clue said something about a bridge........ and here it is. Now to find where it lies.

Oh, under the bridge. Trevor was able to find it no problem.

The contents of the box are a stamp and a note pad. We put our own stamp in the notebook and used the stamp from the letterbox to add to our notebook.

The person who planted this box made their own stamp. Very creative.

Baby on the Way

Not mine, I'm done.
This is for my sister who is expecting her first baby mid-May.

She and her husband don't know what they are having.......it will be a surprise. Who doesn't love a surprise? (I did the same thing, waited until baby was born) I found this very cute fabric and knew I had to make her a blanket for the baby. Can you see it? I has pictures of nursery rhymes on it. Can you see Humpty Dumpty, Mother Goose, the Cow that jumped over the Moon? It's all there and very apropriate for baby on the way. Love ya sis!

A Walk in the Park

Recently we went on a hike at a local state park. We saw many things and enjoyed the short break in rain. One of the many things we came across were banana slugs. They were all over the place. Trevor took an immediate liking to them. He even kissed one.....wish I got a picture of that one.

Here the 3 boys managed to climb up an uprooted tree. They climbed the roots as far as they could and then crawled through the roots that were still on the ground. Cheap entertainment!

There were lots of stumps for them to climb and check out. Many of these stumps had notches cut into them like the one below. That one was huge and Trevor managed to scale the thing and became "King of the Stump".

There he is, at the top. He did need help getting down. Jeff had to go over and coach him down before he could pull him to safety.


They are eager to go check it out again. Now that we are on Winter Break we will have to take advantage of the weather and do more outdoorsy things.
