4 Things About Me

I was over at The Ungourmet's reading her blog today and learned something more about her. If you haven't discovered her yet you are missing out. If you love to bake or cook then she is the woman to see. She has so many tempting recipes you won't want to miss.

So anyway I decided to tap into her "4 Things About Me" post and share. Here goes:

Four shows I watch
Days of Our Lives
Survivor
Desperate Housewives
Grey's Anatomy

Four things I’m passionate about
My family
Friends
Baking
Exercise/Soccer

Four phrases I use a lot
You know what?
Oh My Word
I'm gonna tan your hide!
Lay off!

Four things I’ve learned from the past
Not to take things in life too seriously (still learning this one)
Friends will come and go but family will always be there for you
With every mistake there is a lesson to be learned
To laugh at myself once in a while

Four places I’d love to go
Back to Australia
Caribbean
Hawaii
Tahiti

Four things I did yesterday
Went to the grocery
Cardio Kickboxing
Pulled up drip line from the garden
Made breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Four things I love about winter
Warm Fires
Cozy Sweaters
Smart Wool Socks
Peppermint Mocha

Since I borrowed the idea from Kim at The Ungourmet I don't technically have to tag anyone. Where is the fun in that? I feel the need to tag someone, anyone!

POOBA
Aunt Spicy
A Reservation for 6
Cookie Girl

Have fun ladies! Can't wait to learn a bit more about you all.

Stink Eye!

Have you ever gotten a bit of this?
Well, I think I may have gotten a bit of it this morning. A great way to start Monday isn't it? Sadly it isn't from anything I have done or my friend for that matter. I believe it has to do with a serious case of being overly sensitive. Imagine that!

For 2 days the boys and I played hard with their friends. We went on a bike ride while the moms walked, played baseball and soccer at the park and then proceeded to the batting cages. That was day 1 and it was full of activity. My kids fell asleep at an early hour that evening. The next day we went to lunch and the movies. Another full day, busy because lunch and the movie was at the mall. So we got to deal with noisy mall crowd and counting kids. Great fun. We had a blast! I kept the boys busy so they didn't have time to think about fighting......it was ingenious.

This other family and I have a mutual friend who was unhappy with both of us. She thought we were flaunting our activities in front of her and was hurt she wasn't "invited". I have to say, she was invited to lunch and movies on Friday and the park is well....a park, in her neighborhood. There wasn't any reason she and her children couldn't come join us, but she was feeling hurt and upset and not included. I get it.

So today I swing by to say "Hi" and receive THE STINKEYE. I stayed long enough to say my hello's and then bailed out. I can take a hint. She isn't happy with me. Oh well, she will hopefully get over it.

Canning

I have been using these to make.......

these! It's hard to say how many I have, but I have a whole lot more to do.

With 29 plants it's tough to keep up. I have been giving them away by the bag and canning as many as I can. I have a feeling Monday is going to be much of the same.

Have a great weekend!
