An Apron and a Thank You!

About a month ago I joined the Garden Apron Swap put on by Shawnee and Lucy. The objective was to make a utility apron or a gathering apron for another person. It had to be sewn with love with a quality that would make a passing grade in a Home Ec. class.

I chose to make my partner a utility apron. It has 3 deep pocket which will be great for carrying around clippers, drip line emitters, seed packets, shovels, etc. I used a heavier duty material for the outside, which is the stripes, and a coordinating quilting weight material for the upper part of the apron. The colors are very spring like with pinks, greens, a bit of red, white and brown. I'm not sure if you can see it, but it has cupcakes all over it. Mmmm...........good. I also made it with super long ties so it can be wrapped around to the front.

With this package I added a shovel and some seed packets. I am sending my lucky partner some sugar pie pumpkin seeds, lemon cucumber seeds, radish seeds, and broccoli seeds. So happy planting to my partner!

On to the Thank You! This lovely bit of goodies is from my good friend Cookie Girl, if you don't know who she is you must visit. She has cookie recipes that she shares with all of us in bloggy land and they are To. Die. For.

She sent me some cake decorating bags and tips, a cook book put together by the members of her Church, some red candy foil, mini cupcake cups, blue coloring, alomond oil, and some fun goodies to melt into candies. Forgive me Cookie Girl if I forgot anything. When I got the package I tore into it and made the cupcakes I posted on The Apron Goddesses.

That is a great apron. I love the accessories you added. I have been stopping by cookie girl and I tried her peanut butter cookies. The mix was great my son licked the bowl clean but when I cooked them they were doughy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I need to find out what I did wrong.
