Too Disgusting for You?

What is it with boys, okay kids, and boogies? We actually had a conversation about them, nose picking, and the infamous "snot rocket" which is also known as the farmer's blow.

Boy #2 will dig around in there and complain that he has too many boogies, if that is even possible. The problem is that he does so much digging that he makes the inside of his nose bleed, it scabs and then he is at it again thinking it is a boogie. He will also blow air in and out of his nose towards his brothers to see if he can speckle them with the vapors that come out. Boy #1 yells with serious protest...can you blame him? Boy #2 can be pretty disgusting at times.

Boy #1 likes to dig at story time. I can see him peripherally while I am reading and it just grosses me out. He is pretty good about stopping, but still. Boy #3 is just as bad as the other two. Yes, I know.....we all do it at some point, but they get out of hand. I just hope they don't do it in public the way they do it at home.

The new found talent of boy #2 is displaying his ability to do a "snot rocket". He has just figured out the technique and couldn't help but show it off yesterday.

"Hey Mom, watch this!"

He proceeds to do it, but ends up with a stringer (as I call it) down his lip. I took one look and laughed.....hard.

"Oh, yeah, that was a nice attempt at a snot rocket."

"Have you ever done one?"

"Yes, Boy #2 I have done them many times."

"When?"

"Oh, I do it when I am running and when I play soccer."

"Do you ever get stringers?"

"Sometimes."

Can't wait to see what other topics of discussion come up. There is never a dull conversation around here....with 3 boys I think everything is covered.

Ugh...my Dad is always doing the Farmer Blow and I want to throw up everytime!
Nico's new thing is to stick a finger in a nostril, then trail it down to his mouth. Delicious.

Ewwww! Snot is my biggest total gross out! I think I would actually vomit if my son did this!

It sounds like you handle this all very well!

Ha ha, boys will be boys. No Tess did it too. I would tell her to stop and she would say " Debie does it." She always blamed my little sister for stuff.

I know boys can be so gross sometimes, but I just remind myself that I don;t have to listen to the highest pitched screaming of all time from little girls lol! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

ROFL...I am so freaking glad I only had one boy...and his sisters would have beat the "snot" out of him if he'd tried spraying them...so I happily got to avoid this part of childhood!!!

Snot rocket? This is the first time I've heard that. Gross! Junior isn't even 2 yet and he's already sticking his finger up there and saying "nice boogers." I'm going to adopt your attitude and laugh -- you can't fight it can you??
