I-Spy Baby Blanket

I have joined I-Spy swaps many, many times. I had about 600-800 squares of 4" squares. That's a lot of squares. Well I figured out what to with them. I made an I-Spy baby blanket for my sister. She is expecting her second baby late December or early January.

Since we don't know if she is having a boy or girl I decided to to a rainbow of colors bordered by black and red. And this is the result. I think it turned out pretty well and I hope my sister enjoys it.

This also completes Facebook Challenge #3 from the beginning of the year. I have two left and a very short time.

Facebook Challenge #2

Facebook challenge #2 is complete.

I did another table runner for a friend of mine and presented it to her just before the 4th of July Holiday.

I didn't do a good job taking a picture of it, but I love her sparkler center piece on the table runner. They go well together.

If you look closely the table runner is very festive and perfect for the holiday.

Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!

Facebook Challenge

At the beginning of the year I joined a challenge on facebook to make 5 handmade things with in the year 2011. The premise was if you comment on a friends post regarding handmade items then you had to post the initial post and the first 5 to respond will receive something handmade. And since I commented I, too, will receive something handmade.

Well I finally got off my tail and made the first of 5. I made a cute little table runner for an old friend from high school. I finished it last week and sent it off.

It is very simple in design, as you can see. The front is made up of squares and finished with a border on both ends.

The back is also simple. It has two red panels with a white panel in the middle. I finished the ends off with the same white border as the middle panel.

Very festive don't you think?
