Last week it was Trevor's birthday. He turned 7. What he wanted most was for me to make Penguin cupcakes. Piece of cake, right?
So you would think that this:
plus this:
would equal this. Right? Right? Don't they look beautiful? I did an awesome job on these wonderful little penguins!
Just kidding, these penguins are mine. Go ahead, laugh, I did. I called them my poor, pathetic penguis. I warned Trevor that they weren't what he was expecting.
Hey, I tried. I guess, sometimes that is all that matters.
I just hope the kid realizes that I don't have a creative bone in my body and that we should leave this kind of thing to the professionals.
Hope you got your daily dose of laughing!

Um, well....that's about all I can say.
Okay, I'm sure they turned out better than anything I would have done. As long as they're edible right?
what to say, what to say...oooh, its how they taste that matters...LOL!
the important thing, is that you took your time and gave it a go, that makes you great xxxx
Thank you! Thank you for making me smile on a monday morning! So did everyones teeth turn black?
Yikes. And that's what I said when I tried a project like that. Why oh why do we let our children look at pictures of the cool stuff other people make?
Good Effort!
I so wish that couldn't relate to this post but I can...I am not a cake decorator. Good for you for trying...Was Trevor excited about his penguins? I hope he still had a good birthday!
that is too funny!
Just so you know you aren't alone: I made a graveyard cake once. Everything looked good until the 'ghosts' melted! (like immediately!) hahaha!
Hahaha! Oh Suzi, I hope everyone's "you know" came out the right color.
It's so funny you posted this because I attempted to make football sugar cookies this weekend and sadly failed miserably. But at least they were still tasty!
I can't even get a flat cookie with three white stripes over brown frosting right, there's no way I could get a pengiun to look as good as yours!
OMG OMG OMG. I know people always write that they laughed so hard they snorted coffee but I really did! Those look like Darth Vader cupcakes. I can't stop laughing...
Oh thank you, you just made my day.
He better appreciate those works of art!
Mmmmm. Black frosting and black teeth. :)
I love that we do the best we can our kids see that!!
They look great. I bet the kids loved them.
YOu should send it to www.cake wrecks.com. Besides its the taste that counts. I did have a good laugh, Thanks!!!!!
Okay this just kills me! I cannot stop laughing! I have to show my kids right now! :D
